Taking Care of You

You have landed on the page where I talk all about myself!

I am kidding! This category started out with my diagnosis of depression and anxiety... what I would say is my mental health blog. It has since morphed into everything that I do for self-care.


Veterinarians are at a higher risk of suicide and mental health struggles than the general public. We suffer from burnout and compassion fatigue. We are faced with death on a daily basis.


This also means that we need to take time to care for ourselves, so that we can take care of our patients. What do you do to take care of yourself? How do you cope? This may be nutrition, exercise, going for a walk, or just lounging around!
